The system is connected to your home's incoming mains water supply and comprises two filter housings that are connected sequentially. The incoming water initially passes through the 'Pre-Filter', which removes sediment and particles and then through the 1 micron `Topaz' carbon block filter, which is effective against a wide range of chemical contaminants, including chlorine.

- We recommend that the Pre-filter is changed after a period of 6 months, (or could be sooner if it clogs).

Please note that the whole house filters do not remove biological hazards such as bacteria or cysts If you have water contaminated with pathogens you may need to consider adding a drinking filter such as the MP1K Fountain filter.
